How often do we connect to our breath with intention? When do we have the space to just be with our breath? What if you could tap into the power of gentleness with your breath?
In this special workshop, it’s all about the breath and your deep connection with it.
We’ll begin with yin yoga targeting the heart and lungs meridians to improve the flow of Qi and enhance our respiratory health. From there, settle into to your mats for a yin (rebirthing breathwork) session with sound. This style of breathwork is the opposite of holotropic. It is gentle nose-breathing. Don’t be fooled by the word “gentle.” It is deeply powerful, and sometimes it can take you on a profound journey. It will activate the parasympathetic nervous system – taking you into a state of deep rest and repair.
The breath will move energy in the body, and it will go to where it needs to while being supported by sound. Sound will release resistance, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, activate feel good hormones and bring your cells back to a state of harmony.
The sound bath includes 15 crystal singing bowls (4th octave, Earth Star, Soul Star, Gaia Seed and Sharps), drums, ocean drum and rainstick, chimes, and more.
You’ll leave feeling lighter, more connected and deeply relaxed. That deep relaxation will last well beyond the session.
Mats, bolsters, blocks and blankets are available at the studio. Bring an eye mask, journal and anything else you would like to make yourself comfortable.
