Winter Water: Yin Yoga and Sound Bath

  • Sacred Yoga Caringbah 6 Park Lane Caringbah, NSW, 2229 Australia (map)

On June 29th, experience deep relaxation with yin yoga and a sound bath.

Winter is a time of year when the yin energy is dominant. It’s a time to slow down, to look within, reflect and recharge. It’s associated with the water element. When in balance, the water element can amplify our wisdom, gentleness, ease, and flexibility. Water is the fluid that lies buried and dark below the earth’s surface and contains all our potential and potency for moving through our lives. The water element rules birth, life and its essence known as “jing” – stored in the kidneys. Winter is the perfect time to put energy into our reserves through the nourishment of yin postures.

In this yin sequence we will explore the kidney and bladder meridians. Our ability to work and rest is balanced by the kidneys – our innermost organs. The bladder meridian runs the length of the back and influences the regulation of the nervous system. Stress, fear and overwork are the enemies of this system so it is vital to return to balance.

In this workshop, experience 75 minutes of yin as we work through the kidney and bladder meridians while honouring the water element. Each posture will be accompanied with sound aligning with water. After your practice, enter a deeper state of rest and nervous system regulation with a beautiful sound bath featuring crystal singing bowls, chimes, drums and more.

You’ll leave feeling relaxed, restored and more in flow with the winter season.

Investment: $55
